VH has arisen as a transformative force in Vietnam’s academic landscape, providing vital

support to economically disadvantaged students since its inception in 2002. By integrating economic scholarships with competency-developing projects, the group addresses both pressing economic barriers and long-term growth needs.

### Origins and Mission https://viethope.com.vn/

Created in 2002 by overseas Vietnamese students at Harvard University, VietHope worked to address institutional academic inequities in Vietnam. The organization’s mission—to enable low-income students through opportunities to schooling—stems from acknowledgement that economic hardship remains the main barrier to educational adherence.
